London inspiration.

nothing really special about this photo, i just like the simple colours (blue, yellow, silver) and how although its a noisy london bus it feels really tranquil.

in Islington, just up from Angel tube station, is my favourite shop in London. Shock & Soul is a vintage clothing store. I've been in a few times but before last week id never been downstairs to the changing rooms. as i went down there i couldnt believe it was part of the same shop. the store itself is how you'd expect it to be; rails of clothing, shoes and bags on shelves and other nicknacks associated with the clothing being sold. but downstairs is like a cross between victorian royalty and greek mythology. before anyone else came in (there arent single cubicles, just a room divider to hide your modesty) i took some photos.

the decor reminded me of the John Soanes museum and the frames used. I'd previously been inspired by them when doing the Rakes Progress project last year, i'm not a huge fan of delecate classical design, but find work like this really interesting.

currently on the underground theres a large advertisement for Channel Five, i'm a huge fan of Marvel Comics and love the style (rip-off) of the design. Alongside the dull advets covering the platform walls it really stood out.
